FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I bring a guest to my appointment?
Yes, you may bring a guest with you to your appointment. Please try to let me know ahead of time so I can have the space set up accordingly.
Can I use numbing cream?
Yes! I do not mind if you want to use numbing cream. I recommend the brand Zensa, or any numbing cream that is a lidocaine only numbing cream with no other adjuncts (things like epinephrine, or other local anesthetics). Numbing cream can change skin texture and potentially increase bleeding, these things can sometimes increase the amount of time it takes to do the tattoo. Most topical numbing creams only last 1-2 hours, depending on your design this may not last the entire duration of your appointment and sometimes the feeling of sensation returning can be quite unpleasant. I recommend applying a thick layer of numbing cream 45 mins prior to your appointment, wrapping it in plastic wrap and coming to your appointment with the numbing cream wrap still on. Please let me know ahead of time if you plan on using numbing cream.
Do I have to tip?
Tips are not necessary but they are greatly appreciated! Tattoos are expensive, if you want to show your gratitude in other ways I am always a sucker for stickers, jewelry, small decorations, etc... ( I love material possessions, I'm a material possessions girly fr)
Can I get more than one tattoo in one appointment?
Yes! You may submit multiple tattoos you wish to get in one session. The maximum amount of tattoos I can complete in one appointment is usually 3-4 depending on size and placement. Please let me know which of the designs are your favourite when booking in case I run out large/full day appointment slots.
Will you guest in xxx location?
I will be planning various guest spots within Canada. At this time I do not feel comfortable guesting without a visa, at this time my guest spots will be limited to Canada only. If you live outside of Canada and are interested in purchasing a tattoo ticket, they are available here!
Do you tattoo people under 18 with parental consent?
No I do not. You must be 18+ to be tattooed by me.
Do I offer custom tattoo tickets or other commisioned art pieces?
I do NOT offer custom tattoo tickets or any other commissioned art pieces at this time. If you have a cool project in mind (murals, book illustrations, merch opportunities, etc..) I would love to hear about them! You can email me at scaredy.cat.tatts@gmail.com for any project inquiries.
Do you offer tattoo tickets/Can I get one of your designs done by another tattoo artist?
Yes! I offer tattoo tickets for all my repeatable flash, these are available for purchase here: https://www.scaredy-cat-tatts.com/category/all-products
Tattoo tickets are intended for people who do not live in Canada and are unable to travel to get tattooed by me. Theses are only available for repeat flash, please do NOT get unique flash pieces or my clients custom designs done.
Can I use your flash designs for personal art projects?
Yes! You are welcome to use my designs for any personal art projects :) As long as you are not selling the product you create with the design on it you can use them. If you are posting it to social media please credit me for the original design.
I didn't get a response after sending in my booking form?
I am unfortunately not able to book with every person who sends in a booking form. My flash bookings are open every 2-3 months. The best way to ensure you get an appointment is to provide a wide range of specific dates you are available. As well as to make sure you are submitting a request for what I am currently booking (i.e. - if I am only booking for flash/freehand please do not ask for a custom design in the 'other' section of the form).
